The Retala Laser Cat Toy is a highly popular and innovative cat toy that has garnered rave reviews from cat owners all over the world. I’ve had lasers for my cats for years and my cats love them. But this is the best because of some features that really put it into the pro-cat toy realm. First , the laser dot is big. It’s larger than all the ones I’ve had before. The cats can easily see the dot and don’t lose track of it when diving, twisting, lunging, jumping and just in general going crazy. It’s easier for them to stay in the hunt and keeps them engaged. It's so frustrating for them when they lose track of a too small dot and spin around confused and lost. They are hunters and want to face their prey.

It’s also a larger device and is run on two regular AAA batteries. Most of the lasers out there come with little disk of a battery that I can’t find at the store, or worse , they are just charged for a while and when the charge wears out the laser is dead. Not here. This is great. This is a laser I can keep around and use and reuse. It’s not a ‘play with it for a week and throw out’ toy.

And the laser case is metal and sturdy. It’s about 8 inches long (7.91 inches) so it’s easy to hold and won’t slip in between the couch cushion and never be seen again because its micro size.
